We collect only what is necessary to operate the app. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. Location data is used solely to track your workouts and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
1. Who We Are
Further Faster ("we", "our", "us") is a mobile fitness application available on Android. For privacy enquiries, contact us at theammman@gmail.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of data when you use Further Faster:
2.1 Location Data
- Precise GPS coordinates during an active workout session
- Route path, distance, elevation, and speed derived from GPS
- Location data is collected only while the app is actively recording a session. You may deny location permission at any time via your device settings, which will disable GPS tracking.
2.2 Fitness & Activity Data
- Workout duration, distance, pace, estimated calories burned
- Training plan progress and completed sessions
- Personal records (fastest pace, longest distance, etc.)
- Step count (via device pedometer, if permission granted)
- Health metrics synced to/from Google Health Connect (if you enable this feature)
2.3 Account Information
- Display name and email address (only if you sign in with Google)
- The app functions fully without signing in. Anonymous use creates a temporary device-local identifier only.
2.4 App Preferences & Settings
- Selected training plan, voice coach preference, audio settings
- Weekly goals and notification preferences
2.5 Purchase Information
- Whether you have purchased Further Faster Pro (a flag stored in your account)
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details.
2.6 Device & Diagnostic Information
- Anonymous Firebase installation ID for push notification delivery
- App crash reports (if crash reporting is enabled)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To record, display, and store your workout sessions
- To track your training plan progress and calculate personal records
- To sync your data across devices when you are signed in
- To deliver scheduled workout reminders and motivational notifications (if enabled)
- To validate and fulfil in-app purchase entitlements
- To improve app stability and fix bugs
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Hosting) — stores your workout data and account information securely. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing — processes in-app purchases. We receive only a purchase token confirming your Pro entitlement. Google Payments Privacy Notice
- Google Health Connect — optional integration to sync fitness data with other health apps on your device. You may revoke this permission at any time.
- Google Sign-In — optional account authentication. We receive only your name, email address, and profile picture.
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party for commercial or marketing purposes.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS). We apply Firestore security rules that restrict access to your data to your authenticated account only.
We retain workout and account data for as long as your account is active. If you uninstall the app and do not sign in, locally cached data is removed from your device. Data stored in Firebase is retained until you request deletion (see Section 7).
6. Children's Privacy
Further Faster is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at theammman@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to certain processing activities
To exercise any of these rights, email theammman@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We will respond within 30 days. You may also delete your account data directly within the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
8. Permissions Used
- Location (Fine & Background) — GPS route tracking during workouts
- Activity Recognition — step counting via pedometer
- Notifications — workout reminders and coaching alerts
- Health Connect — optional fitness data sync (requested only if you enable Health Sync)
- Internet — syncing data to Firebase and delivering push notifications
All sensitive permissions are requested at the point of use and are optional. The app's core functionality is available without location or health permissions (GPS tracking and step counting will be unavailable).
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. You may request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which it is used by contacting theammman@gmail.com.
10. European & UK Privacy Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases: contract performance (to provide the app's services) and legitimate interests (to improve stability and security). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
